I was emailed next day after I applied on Linked In and was given a few time slots to come in to the interview the very next day. The interview was an a small office and there were 6 other candidates in the waiting area when I arrived. The receptionist asked me to fill out a form which I thought was strange as I sent them my resume. One of the questions asked me about my date of birth. Seriously? Openly inquiring about my age? They don't appear to be aware of the employment laws. The whole atmosphere was giving me bad vibes about the company. One of the candidates came in after me and walked out in a few minutes saying he was not interested. A few people walked out of a room in the office and looked back at the candidates in the waiting area and excitedly said "Good Luck, guys!" It felt like there were trying to "build up" a position that obviously didn't appear very appealing. I saw this company posts these ads for sales jobs on linked in everyday. It appears they don't do proper screening of resumes and invite as many people as they can, which is very inconsiderate to candidates' time. I had to cancel another appointment to show up for this!
I applied online. I interviewed at ELM Global (Houston, TX) in Jun 2017
Interview
Panel of interviewers, behavioral questions were asked. There were about 6 people in the room with the direct manager included. There was a rotation going between employees and they would ask questions one by one and would write down your answers as you spoke. The interview lasted about 40 minutes and it’s fine.
