I presented my resume to a recruiter at a university career fair, was called for an on-campus interview. Their job descriptions are so general and speak a lot about what the whole department does rather than the position itself. The descriptions seemed in the general area of my interest and skills although I was not quite sure of the details of the position. I was pre-selected for the interview so I assumed they also thought my resume and skills were relevant to this position. The interviewer was as condescending as can be, practically ridiculed or smirked at every statement I made. The whole interview focused only one job skill (SQL programming), the interviewer wanted to hear nothing about my accomplishments. The whole interview was a joke, I would never work for this company.

Question 1
I was working on a PhD graduate degree which was clearly stated in my resume; however, the interviewer asked me why I was applying for an entry-level position -- this was the first I heard that it was an entry-level position (the position description did say undergrad or MS with some experience). If they were primarily looking for new BS graduates, then it makes no sense that they selected me to interview.
