I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Edward Jones (Grand Rapids, MI)
Interview
Here's a timeline to show the in-depth interview process:
9/15: submitted application
9/26: phone interview
10/4: in-person interview with FA
10/8: online assessment
10/25: received initial job offer contingent on passing background check
11/1: fingerprinting/drug screen
11/4: vendor requested additional documents for background check
11/19: start date
Once you start be prepared to undertake a lot of online training while also learning to run the office and think on your feet. Great job for people who love to multitask and have a passion for customer service. As others have said, make sure you like your branch's FA before accepting the position since you will be working by yourselves 95% of the time!
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Be prepared to get a lot of behavioral interview questions. They will expect you to respond using the STAR method.
I am interviewing with them and so far so good. I did 5 steps and now I am waiting to see if I get an offer or not. It was very difficult but they were very nice during the interviews.
Digital interview first, if you advance, then a screening call from the recruiter. If you advance, then you meet the recruiter/ FA over Zoom. They see if you'd be a good fit at the office by asking situational questions.
I interviewed at Edward Jones (Westlake Village, CA)
Interview
The on demand interview and the phone interview with the recruiter were easy to complete. I'm looking forward to the Zoom interview and the next steps in the interview process.
