Ultimately, however, it was a waste of time because the position apparently required open source experience. This supposedly means that you have a unique set of skills that you couldn't have acquired otherwise. In my opinion, it's a rather silly filter to have.

It’s based on three interviews, excluding the first one with HR, in the others, there are always two interviewers, which is a very important detail to reduce bias. It's clear that the interviewers have extensive interview experience (beyond their vast technical expertise). They don't just assess your knowledge of a specific library; I understand they're evaluating broader criteria. In my experience, it's one of the best processes I've ever undertaken, regardless of the outcome. It's clear that the company's values ​​are reflected in the interviews.
