Two rounds with a panel of people, with a mix from future team members, related team members and future managers. Great guidance from the talent acquisition team through the process (from first screening call to follow up).

I had an initial zoom call with the recruiter and was then scheduled to talk to the lead LD. After that I had 3 more interviews with other members of the team.

I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Geneva)
A recruiter contacted me after a resume I sent a couple of months prior, explaining they were now hiring for a position more suited to my profile (I had not received a reply to my initial application). The call with the recruiting manager was pleasant, with questions assessing both my technical skills (in terms of analytical techniques) and my personality. It seemed a good fit, and the work environment and mission looked exciting. It ended up not working out, which is fair. The real negative is that I had to chase them multiple times after not hearing back from them, and was left hanging multiple times. I did not receive any sort of meaningful feedback regarding the decision at the end of the lengthy process. This was already some time ago, so I hope they improved this part of the process.

I applied online. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Vancouver, BC) in Apr 2023
Applied shortly after the position was announced and while it was open, received a reply two weeks later saying that a candidate was already hired prior to my aplication, which means either that the opening wasn't real or that they are not willing to be honest with their candidates.

100% virtual process beginning with screening with an HR rep based in a different city. Then a talent specialist in a different city again arranges your interview through an interview portal 'EA Sidekick'. Then you meet meet with who you are reporting to. Pretty smooth process but communication throughout could improve. I guess with a company this big it's kind of expected though.
- They didn't ask what my salary expectations were but instead provided a range and asked if it was suitable. Fantastic.

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Electronic Arts
The interview consisted of 2 segments - 30 minutes for technical questions followed by 30 minutes for culture fit type questions. Each segment had 2 interviewers, the technical questions were mostly presented in a conversational manner not as a test. There were no idiotic questions that you often hear about in the news when reading about interviews.
- How would you test a book store website?

I was contacted by the lead technical recruiter for the Software Engineering Intern position, and we scheduled a call to discuss the next steps. However, on the day of the call, the recruiter emailed me just 10 minutes before to reschedule. While I initially gave her the benefit of the doubt, the next day, she failed to call me altogether, claiming that she had forgotten to add it to her calendar. I attempted to schedule another call, stressing the importance of prompt communication, but once again, the recruiter forgot to follow through. As a student, my time is valuable, and it is unacceptable for recruiters to waste it in this way. I am outraged by this level of incompetence and lack of professionalism. If you are unable to perform the basic task of showing up to scheduled calls, you have no place in a role as crucial as recruiting.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Electronic Arts (Köln) in Mar 2023
The first interview round was with the HR Recruiter, it was around 30 minutes and we talked about the position, an introduction about me, work terms.. etc Mr. Alberto, the HR recruiter, was my primary point of contact, he was very friendly and responsive, he was even reachable outside the normal work hours. Second interview was with the team that I am going to work with, questions were high-level and non-technical, we talked about the projects, the role in more details and my current experiences. Next round was the technical interview, in the topics of data management, web design, and work ethics, and ended with a JavaScript coding challenge. The challenge was fun and not hard to solve. The last interview was with the team manager and a senior software engineer. It's an extra interview for the short-listed candidates, and was mostly behavioral questions, to know about how my current work routine looks like, how would I behave in specific scenarios (eg. there's something you want to improve but the deadline is near). Each interview lasted about an hour (except for the first one), the interviewers made me feel comfortable, and I felt like talking to my colleagues, as we shared a high level of consensus.
