I was connected to the company via a Chicago based third-party recruiter. A phone interview was arranged. An on-site interview was thereafter scheduled. Surprisingly, the on-site interview was canceled by the company one day before it was scheduled to happen. They filled the position with another candidate. This is pretty bad, and I would never want anything to do with a company that is so unprofessional in their interview process. Prescriptively speaking, if an interview is scheduled, the candidate must get a fair chance at the job.
