After I applied, I was asked to do a zoom interview (which normally happens after some sort of screening phone interview at most companies). So I prepare for the zoom interview and after talking for about 3 mins, I get cut off when the CAO asked about the last time I used Pardot. I explain it has been a few years since I touched the platform. This person then cuts me off and says “it’s not going to me a match.”
2 things... the first is that just because someone hasn’t touched a platform in a few years doesn’t make them a poor candidate. Would you rather have a candidate with 5+ years experience with Pardot and other platforms, or a candidate with 1-2 years’ experience using Pardot and no other systems?
Second thing is... how rude. I don’t think I finished more than a couple sentences without this man interrupting me. Thank you for wasting my time. That’s why screening interviews are normally conducted.
