Farmer J interview questions

Applied online, was asked to come to an interview/3h trial shift. I came, no interview/questions asked, was just put right on the floor during a hectic rush hour. No questions about my background, no getting to know me or giving me chance to ask about the company, no asking at all about my previous experience. It was a pretty easy and straightforward shift despite the morning rush, thought I was doing ok but got home to rejection message. Feels rather exploitive and a waste of time, was is it really trial shift or they're looking for free labour?

Ask questions about your customer service experience, then check many items on the pad and sign, then need to have a trial shift about three hours with a surpervisor that would be reviewed your behaviour with customers and mates.
