I applied in-person. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at FedEx (San Jose, CA) in Mar 2016
Interview
We went on line and watched a sort video then registered to come in for a sort observation. We walked around the warehouse seeing what it was like but for some reason we witnessed it during the lighter load right when the came back from break so that was pretty misleading. After watching, they asked us if we were still interested and who ever said the were stayed for an automatic on-site interview that lasted about 20 mins. The interview process was simple and easy if you've been through interviews like this. Ask about experience and attitude. We then filled out a questionnaire on the computer that was your basic personality type and how you would react in work situations. After that they say the will run a background check and when that comes back they will call you in for an interview.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Was there a moment in your previous experiences where you displayed leadership and exceptional teamwork? - Where you ever challenged at work by a manager and how did you deal with that? Have you ever worked with an associate that didn't work as hard and how did you let them know that there work was effecting you?
Mostly based off work history. They seem felon friendly. I do not have a criminal history. Personality test not difficult. They responded within 4 weeks. Haven't been there physically or meant face to face.
Super easy process—mostly online application with basic questions about availability, ability to lift 50-70 lbs, and fast-paced work. No tough interview; quick hire after background check. Positive and straightforward. Definitely worth it.
