if there is one thing you take away from what i say here, APPLY AS EARLY AS YOU CAN, IT IS BASICALLY A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE TYPE THING. when they post the stuff online, they take who is first! anyway i had applied for many courier positions over a few months, and always received emails saying they weren't interested. i had applied for a DOT handler/shuttle position on new years eve and got a call 3 days later from a recruiter. basically they call you, ask you questions like can you lift things that are 75 pounds etc and then i was scheduled for a facility tour where basically you sign an offer letter and you walk around with a manager and he shows you the facility that you're working at. after that if you are DOT you go get a medical card and a drug test, it was pretty easy and a lot different than i had expected.
