      Auto Damage Adjuster Trainee Interview

      4 Jul 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bethesda, MD
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO (Bethesda, MD) in Jul 2018

      Interview

The process is the same as all the others have said. I applied for the position online. Received and email notification the next day to take an online assessment. Completed that, then took another assessment. Received an email notification for a phone interview, which basically gave details about the position and training expectations. Was then scheduled for another phone interview that same week with the same HR rep. This interview was more about my work experience and situational questions (STAR). A week later received a call to schedule the role play simulation and was advised that I may be asked to stay for an interview following the role play. The role play is what everyone has described. Nothing you can prepare for. Just be yourself, be professional and organize as best you can with all the material. The NEGATIVE I have is that there needs to be more diversity in the people at the Bethesda MD location. Every single person conducting the role plays for 3 different candidates were white males. In my group there were 2 black women and 1 white male. He was the only one asked to stay for an interview. I understand the people conducting the role plays are employed at that location and people naturally want to work with someone like themselves. I saw other Geico employees entering the building and NO diversity at all. This is definitely an area that needs to be addressed. I also overheard as I was leaving the way they interacted with the candidate was more personal and friendly. I attempted to connect during my role play but only blank stares. Otherwise it was the normal interview process.

Good experience with this company and interview process. They asked questions pertaining to past job experience and questions regarding the job itself. The recruiter was nice and friendly, as well.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Dallas, TX) in Jul 2025

      Interview

applied and was asked to do a assessment which was pretty straightforward. Then did a 20 min zoon interview with a recruiter. They explained a little about the job, salary, training and that I would be invited for a 2nd interview with the leadership team. A little strange interview also, they didn't really ask any questions about myself, just asked how many times I've shown up late for work in my past job and why I had a gap in my employment. A few days later I got a automated email that the job had been filled already. Seems just because you are told you made it to the 2nd and final round doesn't mean you will. They seem to hire first come first serve.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

What do you know about the job? Why do you have a gap in your employment history? How many times have you been late to work in the past 5 years?

      Lincoln, NE

      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at GEICO (Lincoln, NE) in Jul 2025

      Interview

I did a zoom interview, which wasn’t the issue. The issue was I felt like there were no questions asked linked directly to the job I was applying for. I’m use to more behavioral based questions and they asked a lot of random filler questions, had me guessing why are they even interviewing me??

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Employment gap history… which I thought was illegal
