      Liability Claims Representative Interview

      21 Jun 2019
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Renton, WA
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at GEICO (Renton, WA)

      Interview

I have been offered a position but I haven't accepted yet (I haven't declined though either). If you have been made nervous over how difficult the interview is then you will find peace reading this. The interview itself is not difficult nor is it really meant to be. However, it is really long. If you spend the full 6 hours there that means that you will likely be offered a position. You start with a simple computer test where you basically just match information (mock calls and emails) to its correct location and then you are given a typing speed test. These are not hard as long as you calm down and accept the fact that you will not finish everything. Then you have a little info interview with hr where they just ask fit questions about your experience in customer service and how you handle angry customers. The only difficult part is the Mock phone call portion which is the third part. You will flub and you might get overwhelmed but just focus on staying organized and you will be ok. Its a call center so you need to be aware of angry customers. Then you shadow a rep for an hour before you are sent to a manager. If you get this far then breath easy and just be honest when asked questions because you are being offered a position soon. I really like talking to this person because they weren't trying to sell you on the company and they explain the tedious aspects of the job. I almost didn't get an offer because he knew I was interviewing elsewhere and thought that I wouldn't even be interested. I told him that I need some time to make a decision and I am currently still pondering the decision while I wrap up my last few interviews. There is definitely room to grow here which I like and the office seems friendly enough. After shadowing I knew that Id probably never be bored but I just want to weigh my options and figure out if I am ok with sitting still for that long.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO

      Interview

I aced the computer-based test. It was stuff that I knew from my years in retail. During the first interview, I was told that they could not find a manager for the second interview and excitedly told me if I did not hear from them to call them Friday of that week. That day I was sent a denial in an email and was frankly disappointed that they got my hopes up for a second interview.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO (Lakeland, FL) in Aug 2020

      Interview

Very long interview process. After applying you are invited to do a personality test and run a simulation program to test multitasking. You are then scheduled to do a phone interview that lasts about an hour mostly focusing on what you would do in hypothetical situations and previous work experience. After this, you are scheduled for a role-play interview online which can be very tricky and definitely the hardest part of the interview process, try to read the documents provided thoroughly and take notes. After that you do a video interview with a hiring manager answering further questions. I took me about 2 weeks but you can theoretically schedule everything in the same day.
