      Auto Adjuster Trainee Interview

      20 Nov 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Newark, NJ
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at GEICO (Newark, NJ)

      Interview

Long process. Applied a year and a half ago, got to point of role play but had to drop out before the interview for personal reasons. That was 2 months. Reapplied last month and was able to skip the computer test part but still did phone interview and one on one interview. All basic standard interview process. Then I had the role play today. Wow. If you don't pass this, you really shouldn't get the job. It was hard. You are basically given a pretend job with a half hour of directions and an hour and s half Tom"work". You deal with "customers" on the phone and in person, you fill out paperwork, and you organize your day based on appointments and a map. Organizational skills are mandatory and you need to be able to remember A LOT of information. They collect all your notes and forms at the end then grade them somehow. If you pass, I think you'll get the job. I worked really hard, I sweated a lot, smiled and did the customer service thing, and think I did ok- I truly dont know though whether I will I get an offer. I'll update as I find out

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at GEICO in May 2024

      Interview

I applied online and received invite for screener call with a recruiter. Next step was an online interview with the manager. Then came a long, three week wait with no communication, updates, or even responses to any of my follow up emails to the recruiter. I received no information, feedback and didn't learn I wasn't selected until I logged into the Geico workday job site which then triggered a rejection email to be sent.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Many scenario type questions on how you would handle different situations. A customer is a no-show for your meeting, after waiting you leave to your next appointment as you have a full day. The customer calls an hour later asking you to return and saying that is the only day they can meet you. How do you handle the situation?
