I was reached out directly by the hiring manager to apply for a role on their team. After meeting with the manager and HR specialist, I was soon scheduled for interviews with senior managers on the team. Both interviews went well, questions were clear and the interviewer provided feedback. My biggest callout was the lack of follow up or explanation for not being selected such after two rounds of interviews. No calls or emails were ever returned in the weeks after my interviews. I do understand that there are a high number of applicants given the economic situation but ghosting applicants reflect poor professionalism and respect for the applicants time. For those considering applying for a role, I would make sure that you have contact information for all those that have interviewed you and make sure to stay on top of the assigned HR specialist.
