I applied on the Garmin website and got a call from HR a few days later and scheduled a telephonic interview with the Technical Recruiter. It lasted around 30 minutes and was about my experience, the profile I am looking for and my immigration status. The recruiter mentioned that I will get an onsite interview with the teams and hiring managers once she discusses it with the hiring managers. I got an call from the HR a week later to fix the onsite interview. It was at the Olathe headquarters and laster 3.5 hours. First half hour was with the Technical Recruiter explaining the benefits of Garmin and the dos and don'ts of interview. It was followed by 1 hour of basic technical interview questions by members of the team, 1 hour of hiring managers for one of the team and the next 1 hour by hiring managers of the next team. Everyone came across as nice people, except for the 1 hour in the middle, which was the IT team. I thought it went well, the interview was simple, basic technical and situational questions. I got a rejection email around a week later.
