Interview
They make you take the interview all by yourself on Spark Hire. I couldn't imagine how frustrating and distressing could be taking a video interview in this way. Spark Hire sent me an email with all the instructions to take the interview and a link to start the whole process. Then a video with a GetYourGuide recruiter started. In the video she introduced a little bit the company and some information about the role I applied for. Then the nightmare started.
After every question a countdown reminded me the amount of time I had to organise my thoughts and to prepare my answer. I had 2-3 minutes for every question. Then, the program started to record my answer. I had a single take for each answer and if I wasn't happy with my recording I could choose to not submit the video. Even though for my position only two languages where required, during the interview I was asked if I was able to speak a third language and to demonstrate that.
The whole experience was awful and stressing because of the countdowns, the lack of human contact and non-verbal feedback from the recruiter. Terrible. Absolutely horrible.

Question 1
In your opinion what are the most important skills a Customer Agent should have?
Hi,
Thank you for your detailed review.
We are sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your Spark Hire interview.
We use Spark Hire during our hiring process for various reasons. One is that it helps the recruiting process move more quickly which is beneficial for both us and the candidate. It also allows the candidate to complete the interview in their own time which gives them more time (than they would in an in-person interview) to come up with an answer.
Again, we are sorry you didn't enjoy your spark hire interview and we really appreciate your feedback.
Best,
GetYourGuide.

Interview
Two recruiters and me sat down in a conference room to conduct the interview. The atmosphere was very comfortable, I felt supported and welcomed all throughout the interview, and we had a great conversation about the company, their objectives, and goals. After we had gone through my CV, the recruiters asked me a couple of questions about my skillset and my expectations about the job. In the end, we conducted a small role-play, where one of the recruiters played a customer to whom I talked on the phone in order to solve a problem. All in all, I never felt uncomfortable, or bound to fail in such a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. It has been an enormously great experience!

What was the biggest obstacle you had to overcome as a CS agent so far?

Interview
I had sadly missed the date for the upcoming training week when I first applied. They told me they'd put me in their talent pool, at the time I wasn't really sure if I'd receive something from them later on. I was very positively surprised when only shortly after that, I reveived an invitation to a spark hire interview. After completing the video the real interview process began, where I met them face to face. It was a very fast and pleasant process!
