It was a three step process: a phone interview, an assessment, and a skype interview. The initial phone interview was fairly short, and they asked questions to analyze my thought process. The assessment included analyzing a data set and creating slides. The interviewers were all very friendly and encouraging throughout the process, knowing that I didn't have a lot of prior experience in the field.
