      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor (Saint Louis, MO) in Dec 2021

      Interview

The interview process started out great. An internal recruiter reached out to me who was great. She was charming and really sold me on the position. I had four interviews over a three week timespan with key members of their leadership. The last discussion, I was told I would hear about next steps. This was right before the holidays and I expected a delay. Almost two months later, I still had not heard anything. I reached out to the that same recruiter asking for an update. She responded after a few days and said she would reach out to the actual recruiter. Nothing. I sent that person an email. Nothing. No response. Let me stress, I just wanted to make sure I was no longer being considered before I pursed another offer. Because I had a strong interest with glassdoor. More time passed. I was very frustrated. A week later, I sent a message to their CTO - Rodrigo Oliveira. Also no response. I don't think people realize the impact of a bad interview experience. It helps you make decisions, not only about seeking employment, but dealing with them at all.

We strive to create a great candidate experience and I sincerely apologize that we did not properly close the loop with you in a timely fashion nor provide clear feedback when you reached out to my team. Your candid feedback helps us identify process improvement and coaching opportunities. I am committed to work with my team to close those gaps to prevent this from happening in the future. Thank you again for sharing your feedback. Carina Cortez, Chief People Officer

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Glassdoor in Jan 2017

      Interview

Initial phone call with internal recruiter. Recruiter (on speakerphone in an echoey room) asked some questions including current salary, and then basically told me I live too far away, and that their max salary was far below my current, but suggested I could still speak to the hiring VP if I wanted to. Followed up with a couple of emails, never heard back. Rather surprising since I was an internal referral from one of their executives.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

General background questions. The type of questions led me to believe the recruiter didn't really understand the nature of the position or my experience.

      Director IT Interview

      22 Oct 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Glassdoor in Aug 2014

      Interview

Interview span was about 30 days. First one was with the hiring manager which was quite detailed and extensive (about an hour). After that one more phone interview. I was then called for an on-site for 4 hours which on my request was split into two days. It was good that they were flexible. I interviewed with about 6 people from different departments.

      Question 1

I guess the difficulty level was not an issue for me. However, I felt the questions were very detailed. Maybe its because I have been doing this type of work for a long time so it was obvious to me but I can understand why they were vetting me so hard.
