I applied online. I interviewed at HTM (Tokyo, Japan)
Interview
I scheduled an interview and everything seemed normal up until when the interview began. Relatively straight forward questions, but the interviewee had a terrible attitude and basically attacked my answers. When I explained my work experience I was told that it was a bad thing that I gained skills from my work background which was the same as my interviewer. My educational background was also demeaned and it is clear that the interviewer did no research about me asides from maybe skimming my resume. If a candidate takes time and effort to prepare for an interview it should be expected that the interviewer does the bare minimum to prepare as well. Would not work at this company if this is the best person they have.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HTM (Tokyo, Japan) (Tokyo) in Mar 2024
Interview
The interview process took two weeks. We met online three times, each time with a different individual from the recruiting team. I found myself having pleasant but similar conversations with each person. The meetings consistently went over time. The last meeting included a "work simulation", from which I received critiques. The personality test is 100+ questions and the logic test involves finding patterns in numbers and shapes. In total, around 5 hours were spent for the interview process and was ultimately not offered a job.
