Help and Emergency Response interview questions

I did a one-on-one interview then I was asked to prepare a speech. I needed a job so I went ahead and moved forward and prepared a speech that took days. After doing my speech for the director and other staff I got compliments and was told they could tell I did my research. I also had to complete ANOTHER paper application and never heard anything back. I was very upset but I take it that this is the type of company that actually doesn’t care about people and want to show a facade.
