Disaster. At first, I was very excited about the opportunity, company, and how fast the responses and process were. I had an initial phone interview. The following day, I was invited for a "second interview." I was expecting to be talking with someone but when I arrived, a set of stapled papers and pen were on the table and I was asked to answer the questions. It was a "written test" not an "interview."
After passing the test, I was invited for an interview which was scheduled the following day. They asked me to bring some of my works. Late at night that same day, I received an email telling me to send my works beforehand which I did. On the day of the interview, on my way, I received a call less than an hour before the scheduled time to say that he had a "road test" appointment and if it can be done over the phone. He said he has not seen my works and wanted to see more of my works. He asked me to send more then he would call back right after he received them. I sent some additional works just within minutes after we hung up. Come the time of the original interview, nothing happened. Waited for an hour but there was nothing at all! I sent a follow up email to ask how to proceed. No response, didn’t even have the courtesy to let me know what was going on.
Final words: Normal people would have appointments in their calendars and road tests are never an "emergency appointment" as you book that in advance. It is plain rude not to respond to people and just treat them as garbage especially after rushing the interview but not having the time to even look at them. Portfolios should be checked before even having the first interview not after wasting people’s time and let them do tests then just treat them like trash.
