Interview
After a phone screen, you are invited to the store for an on-site interview. The interview is a standard 20-30 minutes in length, and depending on the position applied, might be done by one to three people. The general atmosphere is laid back, and "being yourself" sells more than trying too hard to show off certificates and degrees, at least for a sales-level position. After that, they do a drug test (saliva), background check and both should be done within 14 days of interview.

I had a total of 2 interviews not necessarily by the department managers of the kitchen department where I was interested in working. Upon receiving the job offer, a drug test was submitted.

All standard retail questions. They did ask if I knew where IKEA originated and asked if I knew about the company.
