Applied online, then a quick phone interview. The HR person set up a chat with two senior managers (zoom.) It became apparent that although the position was titled "Design Manager" and the HR person had a similar understanding to my own, the two senior managers who were going to be actually running the store had a completely different understanding of the position. The position was just a junior store manager and had little to nothing to do with design, designers, etc.
