With exception to the "ghosting" after the last round of interviews, the overall process was positive and followed a traditional path: screening, 1st/2nd interview, followed by a panel interview. All that said, any high opinion I held of the people or the company went right out the window at the end. It's not difficult respond with a simple "we've decided to move forward in a different direction." Instead, the hiring manager thought it best to cut off all communication. When a person in business tells me that they will follow up, that's my expectation. And when they fail to follow through, deliberately, it tells me a lot about who they are and how they conduct business. Interview ghosting may be a trend within the corporate world but make no mistake, it's rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.
