      Account Executive Interview

      15 Dec 2014
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Austin, TX
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Indeed (Austin, TX) in Nov 2014

      Interview

I met a recruiter at an Austin job fair and submitted an application online. I was contacted in a few days by the same recruiter who did an initial phone interview. The phone interview went well and I was asked all the basic questions about my job history and experience. I made it through the phone interview and was scheduled back to back interviews with mid level managers. All the basic questions were asked "why do you want to work here, why do you think you would be a good fit" etc. The second interview basically asked me all the same questions the recruiter and first interviewer had so either no one shares information or they want to see if your answers change. I felt I had good experience for the position and did well in the interviews and was well prepared for all the questions but received an email the very next day saying they did not want to offer me the position so I'm not quite sure what they were looking for. Everyone was very nice and professional and throughout the process- all said and done it probably took about 3 weeks from the initial job fair. Just wish I knew what exactly they were looking for if I had 3 interviews and still no offer.

      Question 1

This position requires you to be on the phone all day long making sales and often facing rejection- why do you want to do that?

      Account Executive Interview

      5 Feb 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Singapore
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (Singapore) in Feb 2026

      Interview

The recruiter was based in Bangalore, India. At the start of the interview, he read through the job scope directly from his screen. He spoke very fast with a strong accent, which made it difficult for me to fully understand. After reviewing the role, he asked questions related to the sales process, motivation, strengths, sales targets, handling difficult customers, availability, and salary expectations. I asked for clarification more than once and answered the questions based on my understanding. The interview felt very transactional, with limited interaction beyond the scripted questions. Just some feedback, I feel I would have been able to respond more effectively if the questions were shorter and more direct. Some of the questions were quite lengthy. I have no issue with different accents, but speaking slower and clearer pace of speech would have improved comprehension.

      Accepted offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Indeed (New York, NY) in Dec 2025

      Interview

Fast paced but thorough. Was able to finish the process within 3-4 weeks. Fully remote and interviewed with several directors. The process felt personable and the directors took time to make sure that it was a good fit for me as well.

      Interview

Just a phone screen. It was clear the recruiter didn't fully read/misread my resume when she got on the call as I could hear her having her "oh oops" moment. Haven't heard since. At least she was candid that they don't promise any feedback or communication as a policy.
