Institute of Product Leadership interview questions

This was honestly one of the most disappointing interview experiences I’ve had. I cleared both interview rounds and was then asked to complete an assignment. After submitting it, I suddenly got a message saying my skills don’t match. If that were really the case, why take me through multiple rounds and waste my time with an assignment? On top of that, I was even asked to consider traveling to Bangalore for the final round before the assignment. It feels like the whole process was just a way to collect ideas from candidates — something that’s unfortunately becoming a scammy pattern. Companies like this run interview processes just to gather fresh perspectives because their internal teams can’t come up with anything valuable themselves. And once they have what they need, they ghost or reject candidates with vague excuses. To be fair, the team was polite and professional in communication. But politeness means nothing if the process is misleading and disrespectful of people’s time and effort.

You will have 2-3 rounds of interview depending on the team you will be working with. First you will have a screening with the HR who is polite and will give a basic knowledge about your KRAs. Next will be with the Manager where you will have showcase your product knowledge and excellent communication skills. Final round might be with the Director where you will be evaluated on your presence of mind, stability and adaptability.
