I applied online and got an email from the data science/analytics/finance lead in the company. He was so rushed to talk to me on the phone. We set up a phone call to discuss the role. He called on time and we had an informal discussion. They guy seems very rushed throughout the interview as well. I sent him a thank you email the day after. I heard from him more than 3 weeks after saying: Hi **********, Apologies for the delay on our end. At this point, it's best we go in separate directions. We received many great applications for this role, and we've decided to move forward with other candidates. Best of luck with your ongoing job search, and thanks for taking the time to talk. Who says "we go in separate directions" in response to a thank you email except some rude, unprofessional and arrogant start-ups! I am very pleased we went our separate ways.

Was told to schedule the interview with hiring manager after recruiter screening but never heard back after sharing my availability. Recruiter screening was standard on background, professional experience and logistics.
