I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Jobplex (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2020
Interview
I was linked by a friend so I had a direct contact I sent my resume to who then set up my initial phone interview with the VP of Recruiting. Two more calls followed that with managers and team leads. After that I was scheduled for a final round on site that was supposed to last a few hours meeting with different people across the company but that is when the pandemic hit and they had to pause hiring.

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Jobplex in Jun 2020
Interview
They “recruited” me - looking for partners to join their recruitment firm. Then forgot and missed the first phone interview. Late for the second interview. All 3 phone conversations with separate partners were very vague and repetitive. No specific details were ever given on the make-up of the firm, financial structure or synergy between my business and theirs. All in all it was an unorganized process, without a clear vision for the future. Like most big firms they’re simply looking for billers to add to their revenue portfolio. There is zero strategy or market focus. My guess is they’re hoping to sell in the coming years and need to grow the “team” of home office recruiters as large as possible to up their value. I followed up to the 3rd phone call with an email to the president and partners, detailing my experience, constructive feedback and why I was not interested. Never received a response. Unprofessional. Would not recommend this company.
There were some interviews over the phone and some in person as well there was a skype interview as well. You may interview with someone in the local office or elsewhere - they have offices elsewhere in the country
