After submitting my CV, I got a link to an online logic test as a first step of the process. I felt like the test went well, it was 15 questions in 15 minutes. The next day I received an email saying my "score was not high enough" to proceed with my application and that I was " more than welcome to reapply for a role at Klarna and retake the test after 365 days". No further explanation.
Maybe my test wasn't as good as I felt it went, and that's on me. However I feel I was owed to know my score to understand what "not high enough" means in this context. I find it very odd that a would still use these tests as a way into the hiring process and not look at a person's experience or have them chat to a human. The fact that you're barred from re-applying to Klarna in a time window of 365 days because the test is valid for a year is mind-boggling.
Overall very disappointing but as a positive, it made me realize I would not want to work for a company that does not share my values.
