I applied in-person. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kohl's (Grand Rapids, MI) in Jun 2012
Interview
Easy, Group interview at first then one on one interview. Asked questions about customer service. Also asked about math skills, made you fill out a simple addition and subtraction math test. Also asked about your best qualities and worst qualities. What type of personality you have. Also asked what department of the store would you prefer to work in such as home, junior, toddler sections, etc.

I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Austin, TX)
Interview
I had a remotely easy interview process that went pretty quick. They asked the average questions, but the pay was not the best so I did not go with them.

Question 1
Can you name a time you had to show good teamwork?
scheduled Zoom interview TWICE and both times, I waited in appropriate "room" and no one from Kohls "showed up". I even called the local store and asked if I should keep waiting, who ever answered checked and they said yes, they will be right with you. I waited over 30 minutes each time.

They asked me to be available for a zoom call at a specified time.
I applied online. I interviewed at Kohl's (Fort Smith, AR) in Feb 2026
Interview
The interview was completely online, and I spoke with someone from HR. The interview was incredibly short and lacked much substance. The interview consisted of basic questions about when I would be available, but also included a personal question about going out of my way to help somone. All in all, it was a horrible experience.
