I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Kohl's (Wheeling, WV) in Aug 2009
Interview
Applied online.
Interviewed at 2 different Kols' stores - process different at both.
First interview was group interview - felt like an open call for any warm body, majority of those with experience in retail dismissed without job offer for those that had limited retail esperience.
Second interview - different store - individual interview with department manager and store manager. Better experience - felt these managers were more focused on hiring members for a team.
Best bet - hope for the individual interview.

Not too hard.Very friendly.Interview lasted about 25 mns. They asked me about my background, and few behavioral questions.Manager was very sympathetic and nice.It was a one round phone interview and the hiring process was fast.It was a part time job
Sit down with the manager. Asked basic questions and name time about various situations. Also, wanted to see your experience. Seemed like they like older people, and want more experience.
