I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Kohl's (New York, NY) in Oct 2015
Interview
It was a group interview. It was about 5-6 people. The interviewers asked a series of questions. At the end of the interview, I filled out a paper with my reference information, ss number, previous jobs etc. I'm pretty sure if you fill out this paper, you've got the job. The other people that interviewed first were asked to leave and would get a call back if they were considered.

Question 1
Talk about a situation where a customer was angry. What did you do?
About 20 minutes , basic questions about teamwork and customer service. Had the interview and they called a few minutes later to offer me the job. The interviewer was very nice and made me feel calm
It was painless and super easy and I'm just putting in this information so I can view the average salaries of a company because I can't use Glassdoor unless I do this.
It was over the phone and very straight forward. I spoke with the current 02 (Assistant Store Manager) at the time and it focused on previous experiences in teams. Afterward, I received an email to complete the onboarding process online, filling out paperwork.
