I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Kohl's (Brooklyn, NY) in Nov 2015
Interview
It took approximately fifteen minutes, for the waiting; and interview. It was prior to the Christmas holidays, and the employee's cafeteria; was crowded; with hopeful candidates. I was optimistic, until I received an email; the next day; regretting to inform me that I wouldn't be hired.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
How much experience I had, in the retail industry.
Short but still good experience to have for a beginner in interviewing. There are a lot of people to meet so that you can make your skills of speaking up to par.
Easy, over the phone and about 30 minutes long. The store manager asked questions about my background, what would I do if xyz happened, what I would do if a end cap was messy, how would I contribute to making the store look good.

Question 1
What would you do if you encountered an upset customer?
A round table style, group interview process with the manager and other candidates. Afterwards, on the same day, they did the one on one interviews. After about a week later I received an offer, which I accepted.
