I applied in-person. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Kroger (Lexington-Fayette, KY) in May 2016
Interview
Much of it was very basic. They were doing a hiring fair at the time, which I didn't know about, so it ended up being a rushed interview. There were 3 or 4 interviews happening at the same time in a small meeting room in the back of the store. Overall it was a pretty unprofessional setting and not even conducted by a manager or dept. leader, but rather a cashier supervisor.
easy enough, was for minimum wage so like it wasn't too bad, basically just posting this to get access to the site. i got hired and made about twelve or thirteen or fourteen per hour or 26 per two hours.
Phone Interview or screening where they asked a few questions and then was given one in-person interview with the store manager that lasted about 15 minutes before an offer was made.
It was a typical phone screen. One round, no in person component. Took approximately two weeks to hear back. Very easy behavioral evaluation. May have moved to an online process since then.
