I’m writing to express my frustration with a recent change in the compensation offer. Before my first interview, we agreed on a salary of RM4500, which I accepted. However, after completing two tests and a follow-up interview, I was informed that the salary had been reduced to RM4000, with an additional RM200 allowance. This new offer totals RM4200, which is lower than the initial agreement.
This change is disappointing and feels unfair, especially after I’ve already invested significant time and effort in two tests and an interview. The revised offer was communicated only after I had gone through the assessments, which should have been addressed much earlier in the process.
Clear communication about salary expectations should be set upfront, and I feel the company should honour the terms we initially agreed upon. The change has caused unnecessary confusion and frustration, and I hope for a resolution that reflects our original discussion.
