Reached out based on the LinkedIn application. Even after submission of the resume, he wanted me to resend it to him (surprising). Created urgency around having an immediate call. The call was less than 10 minutes (no idea why he had to block calendars for half an hour- probably to show leadership he is busy). Was vague and told me he could not reveal who they were hiring for ("client would be revealed in the next interview"). Was vague about both the JD and the role. Mentioned at the end of 5 mins, I could email him about any questions I had (how would I, I have no idea who they are hiring for). Appeared disinterested in the interview and looked like he just woke up and jumped on the call. Sent a rejection for a 'Marketing Data Analyst' - a role I never applied for on LinkedIN few hours after the call.

Interview
The hiring manager just spoke about what interested him about modern marketing strategies without telling me about the role or asking how my current experiences applied to the current position. I never even had a chance to explain my experiences and how they related to this position. Towards the end of the conversation they just said I was not a fit for the role. When I asked about why I was not a fit he said it was because he realized I didn't work for a "tech company" and that he didn't know that because he didn't look at my application. This company needs someone with talent recruiting experience to conduct these interviews or else more bad Glassdoor ratings are going to come their way.
