I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (London, England)
Interview
I was referred by a friend and initially the experience was very quick and slick. Had a phone interview with recruiter and then a video conferrnce with the hiring manager in the US. All seemed to be going well and feedback was timely up until this point.
I then had two in person interviews at the London office with the previous role holder and another senior manager who the position had a dotted line to. Both gave a completely different view of what the role entailed which was quite confusing. I was even asked to come up with a detailed plan for something I had no knowledge of.
The office is lovely and the people were perfectly nice but there was certainly a lot of ambiguity over the role and the scope. They seemed in such a hurry to hire that they maybe hadn't thought through what they actually needed. It all seemed quite chaotic.
The worst part of the process was the feedback after those final interviews. It took the recruiter two weeks to bother to get back to me with feedback, and this was very vague and via email. By then I knew I hadn't got the role as the recruiter had reposted it on LinkedIn the day after my interview! Not the best way for a candidate to find out.
Linkedin is a great brand but despite this I think they need to work on their candidate experience and treat potential candidates with a bit more respect. I was fine with not getting the role but would have liked to have been told this decision directly in a timely fashion, not seen it for myself on LinkedIn!
It was fine . Professional and proper. Recommended . Be prepared
I wasn’t sure if I wanted the job but was curious about their organisation . They did as expected in an interview
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LinkedIn (New York, NY) in May 2025
Interview
Recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about a role they said I'd be a good fit for. Took 2 follow ups to the recruiter to schedule the initial call. Had a pretty straightforward recruiter screen. I've sent two follow emails to the recruiter and have not heard back. For a professional networking site, this is unprofessional behavior

Question 1
Can you walk me through your experience at a high level?
I applied online. I interviewed at LinkedIn (Singapore)
Interview
Last minute cancellation, rescheduling and ghosting afterwards. Extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Would expect higher standards from the likes of this company but was not the case at all. Appears to have little or no structure or standards.
