I applied online. I interviewed at Longview Philanthropy in Jan 2026
Interview
The interview felt abrupt. From what I can remember, all of the questions were fairly complex, two-part questions combining project management and client relationships, with no warm-up or role context provided first. The interviewer essentially just said "Hi, welcome, how are you, I have 3 questions today" and then had to pivot to a dashboard to read the questions.
Follow-up questions about Salesforce implementation and urgent leadership requests were reasonable but extremely open-ended. Without understanding the team's specific pain points or priorities, it was challenging to know what level of detail or which aspects to emphasize. I think candidates would benefit from a brief introduction to help frame their responses. The interview style favors those comfortable making assumptions and speaking broadly without really any guidance.
Hate to say it, but I felt like I might as well have been speaking to an AI agent.
The company, people, and interviewer all seem like great people with fantastic experiences that will bring good things to the world of philanthropy; however, I am not sure their hiring process is very polished.

Question 1
Not exact questions, but along the lines of:
1: Describe you end to end project management process + How do you handle maintaining relationships with high-net-worth individuals?
2: How would you set up Salesforce to guarantee that the senior leadership would be supported successfully?
3: What's your strategy when leadership needs something critical within the hour?
Very professional, very good. Long work test, but I was compensated well for it. Multiple interview rounds which meant I felt the employer got a good sense of my skills, and the questions felt like they were very reasonable.

Interview
Process includes an online form expressing interest for the role. Successful candidates are invited to take an assessment online. After that, candidates are invited for 1st round interview.
My experience with Longview was quite disappointing. I noticed that the interviewer seemed disengaged, as evidenced by several yawns while I was speaking. This left me with the impression that my responses were not being fully listened to or considered. Additionally, there were instances where the interviewer asked questions that I had already addressed in my previous answers, further reinforcing my concern.
After being informed that I was not invited to the next interview stage, I reached out to request feedback in order to improve for future opportunities. However, my email went unacknowledged and unanswered. This lack of response felt inconsiderate, especially given that I had dedicated an hour of my time to the interview process in addition to taking an online test.
I understand that interviews can be challenging and that everyone has off days, but I wanted to share this feedback in the hope that it might improve the experience for future candidates.
