I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Lowe's Home Improvement (Springfield, MO) in Apr 2011
Interview
There is one interview. If you are chosen to come back it will be after your background check is completed and you will take a drug test. The interview is somewhat long because of the insane # of questions. The Human Resources Manager begins the interview and hands off to the Store Manager. I assume you won't make it to the Store Manager if the HR manager doesn't see any potential. The questions were very specific regarding past situations and how you handled them including workplace conflict, projects, how you work with/without supervision, ect. Normal interview questions you can find on any website, but be prepared with specific examples and how you resolved them.

Interview
It starts with an online application, sometimes followed by a short 15–20 minute phone or video screen where a recruiter checks your availability, experience and communication skills. After that, you’ll have an in-person interview with the hiring manager covering customer service, teamwork and basic job capabilities, with questions like how you’d handle a price dispute or a short register drawer.
