Interview
Interviewed with a department manager. She asked basic questions about why I would want to work at Macy's, when I have worked in a team, how I deal with difficult or angry customers. She seemed enthusiastic, answered my questions, then made me an offer to work in Handbags instead of Menswear. I accepted, even though it wasn't a commissioned position, which is what I had interviewed for. The next day she called me at home and told me that the position in Handbags wasn't open after all, and asked if I would work in Lingerie instead. I wasn't thrilled with that, but accepted.

Interview
You apply online. A manager or HR will contact you and let you know you were selected for an interview. The interview takes place in the store. If you are selected right away they will ask you to turn in required paper work if not they will contact you later. And then... welcome to Macy's!

Fairly simple process, they just ask you your experience in retail and how you will handle customers. Just be honest and truthful, it is a very simple interview but of course express you excitement to work there.

Interview
I was invited to interview from another store when I researched job openings. We had a brief phone interview and was invited in for an interview. Assistant mgr joined with the store manager and spent an hour with me. Hired the next week.
