Interview
If you don’t fit the “Look” they are going for, you won’t get asked many interview questions and your interview will be cut short to maybe 2-3 minutes. I saw/heard interviews before me, almost all of them got a full 10-15 minute interview and me and one other person did not, we were appropriately dressed, Nothing that would disqualify us other than not being a 9 or 10. I was asked 2 basic questions and then told that I would be given a call. I never received a call, instead an email stating “We are sorry to inform you that you were not what we are looking for” How would you even know when you only asked 2 basic questions? In short, unless you fit the physical features, don’t attempt to apply here.

How are you? What makes you want to work for Macy’s?
Was interviewed for a seasonal position. Was told they have no seasonal positions, once they found out I was a college student. Made no sense to me quickly ended the interview.
The interview process was straightforward and fairly quick. It started with a phone interview from a recruiter or hiring representative who asked general questions about my background, availability, and interest in the role. The tone was professional but conversational, and the interviewer focused on making sure I could handle a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
I had one interview with the store manager and it lasted for about 45 minutes. The interview was all standard behavioral questions. I was offered the job on the spot.
