Mariana Minerals interview questions

Had an AI-forward technical interviews. Built a frontend on the first interview. Problem was large and not designed to not be completed in one sitting. I think they are judging based on what you decide to focus on. Second interview was creating the backend for the same frontend in the first interview, as well as system design discussion. I suspect a LOT of the questions asked were to determine senior-like behavior and team compatibility - i.e. are you going to go out of your way to make sure this works for the team or are you just going down a task list. I biased towards making sure the things I was building were sensible for the team and sought feedback. Since the interview was AI-enabled, I highly recommend explaining your thought process out loud. Do NOT just accept whatever output the AI makes. System design was about integrating multiple seemingly unrelated software systems with APIs into a unified service. My answer was to use webhooks and have a source-of-truth backend db such as postgres. 1. 30 min phone screen 2. 30 min technical screen 3. 1 hour technical interview (frontend) 4. 1.5 hour technical interview (backend + system design) + 30 min team member chat + 30 min cross collaboration 5. 30 min CEO chat
