I applied online. The process took 6 days. I interviewed at Marriott International (Dallas, TX) in Nov 2015
Interview
Sent in a resume. Went in for an interview. Very informal. Met with 2 managers. Discussed job requirements. Called back for a second interview - more formal. Met with more of the team and the general manager of the hotel. was called 3 days later and was offered the job.
I applied through other source. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Marriott International in Dec 2020
Interview
Company was bought by a competitor. Told us we had to re-interview for our jobs and a lot were being cut anyways. Instead of a normal interview with hr/ direct manager, I was put in front of 10 people at a round table who grilled me about WHY I should keep my job - it was awful - I worked there for 10+ years at that point. They laid me off anyways but I took a different job at the same hotel property (they tried offering me a job in a different dept with significantly lower pay - I was actually offended - I ended up staying anyways until Covid came and a lot of people got laid off anyways. Side note: if your job becomes available (since they removed the job title from the hotel) within one year, you can get/ reapply for your job - one year and one day TO THE DAY, They reposted my job (exact description but different title) I was really saddened by this. I actually loved my job and wanted to fight to stay there but this proved they didn’t really want me after 10+ years of service.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Marriott International (Singapore) in Apr 2019
Interview
It was a simple enough process with 2 rounds. Enjoyable and the interviewers were kind enough. Would recommend to other applicants seeking a place for a fruitful and educational school internship experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Standard questions about why I wanted to apply, and why St Regis specifically. They seemed to be exceptionally proud of the fact that they had individually plated courses, because this was mentioned in one of their questions
