I was called by the HR in India (Gurgaon) for a team manager role in the design team and after two-three telephonic rounds, I was called for a final F2F with the hiring manager all the way to Noida. The interview went well and I was given an assignment. After the assignment, I got a call from the HR that I've got the position. And had the salary discussion with me. He shared the salary structure with me on mail saying he'll roll the final papers after my go ahead on mail. I did so, along with sharing my current payslips and ID proofs but after that the HR stopped responding! I tried to follow up with him twice but got no response. Highly unprofessional and disappointing behavior by a firm who particularly deals with HR! It's one thing to reject a candidate but telling them that they are selected and then refusing to acknowledge any communication after wasting so much of their time is certainly unacceptable.
