      Bio-Process Technician Interview

      22 Jul 2014
      Anonymous employee
      Durham, NC
      Accepted offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I interviewed at Merck (Durham, NC) in May 2012

      Interview

Interesting hiring process. First interview consisted of several candidates and a single hiring manager. Typical interview questions were asked. After inital round of questioning some candidates were given an individual interview. Second interview was one on one. After Drug screen and background check certain behavioral questions were asked. Additionally a three hour "competancy" test was given. HR contacted candidates several days later with an offer. Dont try and negotiate for this position it will not work.

      19 Jul 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Durham, NC
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Merck (Durham, NC)

      Interview

The interview involved situation based questions mostly with a senior technician and manager. They were hiring a lot of BPTs at the time so the interview was not as in-dept. I applied online, got a email to complete a "personality" test, I was then asked to come onsite for a computer, skill, based test. This was then followed by an in-person interview. A phone interview took place following the in-person interview.
