Merlin Labs interview questions

Recruiting team trying to brag about the "work hard, play hard" startup culture when no one on their entire Talent team has ever worked in tech startup which is comical. They need to hire competent people to actually attract competent people to work here. It takes their team 2+ weeks to follow up with candidates, not aligned with their philosophy on moving quickly.

I applied online through a job portal. I heard back quickly. We scheduled a phone interview. The phone interview lasted only 2 minutes because they realized I need a work visa sponsor to be legally authorized to work. I had reminded them that "US citizenship/residency" was not listed as a requirement in the job advertisement.
