After an enthusiastic interview ( conducted by a member of staff who had zero knowledge of the job or of the qualifications and skillset needed) I waited three weeks to get booked in for a trial shift.
Then the trial shift was rescheduled the night before. On arrival to the trial shift, I waited half an hour awkwardly at reception to only be told that the man who had set up the trial shift had been fired. (I was lied to prior to this, a few days earlier, the trial shift was re-scheduled because of a 'client re-arrangement' it was actually due to the member of staff being fired).
so, I was given a trial shift anyway as I was there and they felt awkward sending me home. it was an awful experience as two spray-booth technicians were pulled away from their work, and told to give me things to do.
It was the deadest fabrication business I has ever seen. During the break, all the talk was about how dead it's been, and how its probably going to be dead for the next few weeks.
Honestly i'm not sure why they even bothered to interview me or call me in.
A complete waste of my time. Really un-professional.
