The first interview was a phone interview. In addition to the hiring manager, there were about 3-4 other people on the phone. The manager asked me about my current position and what duties I performed in the position. The others who are managed by the hiring manager asked more technical questions. I asked questions about the work they did and tried to get a sense of what the work environment was like. I did ask if they enjoyed working there and everyone said yes. I got the sense that there is good work/life balance, good teamwork and it is not a stressful environment. There seems to be a lot to learn.
I was invited to an in-person interview shortly after the phone interview. I met with the hiring manager and members of his team. This was my opportunity to ask as many questions about not only the work, but the work environment as well. There were no technical questions. This was mainly to see if I was a good fit for the position and team and if I would enjoy working there,
