      I interviewed at NET Power

      Interview

The interview process at Net Power is lengthy, unstructured, and frustratingly bureaucratic. Here’s a breakdown from the perspective of a candidate: • First Round: Interview with your direct supervisor. • Second Round: Interview with two engineers. • Post-Second Round: After following up with both the engineer and recruiter, my emails seemingly went ignored. It wasn’t until three weeks later that they finally reached out, inviting me for an onsite final round. • Final Round: This consisted of interviews with six individuals, including engineers, heads of departments, directors, and even the CEO. • Post-Final Round: Despite waiting two weeks after the final interview and reaching out for an update, I received a generic rejection email via the recruiting platform’s automated system—without any feedback/response from an actual person. A major red flag: Candidates are required to cover their own travel expenses for the onsite interview, with no reimbursement, regardless of whether they are hired. Overall, the process felt discouraging, unnecessarily political, and dismissive of candidates’ time and effort.
