      Interview

My interactions with everyone were pleasant and gave me a good impression of the company. I already wanted to work there and speaking with them only confirmed that. Unfortunately, the process was excessively dragged out. Here's the exact timeline of everything: It started off pretty good. I applied online and within a week I receive and complete the HireVue online interview. 2 weeks later I complete a phone screening with the recruiter and I'm told that they're interested in proceeding into the next steps but nothing scheduled yet. 3 weeks later I'm contacted again to schedule 3 interviews for the following week and given the details. 2 interviews were a panel of 2 managers and one interview was 1 on 1 in which I had to give a 15 minute presentation (on whatever topic I chose). All 3 interviews last about 45 minutes to an hour and I enjoyed every one of them. No curveball questions, straightforward and comfortable conversations. I felt good about everything and wanted to accept the offer based on my experience so far. I was told that it would take a week to hear back about the decision. I'm anxiously refreshing my e-mail like a madman everyday and nothing so far for 10 days. I reach out to the recruiter asking for an update on Friday and don't get a response until the following Wednesday saying that I'll get a response by the end of the week. Another anxious couple of days of e-mail refreshing and again no response. This time I avoided asking before the weekend and waited until Tuesday to reach out again for an update. At this point the writing was on the wall, clearly I wasn't selected because I never even got any communication without having to ask for it so clearly they're fixated on another candidate. I just really wanted to get it over with which is why I asked the second time. I get the same response again that it'll be by the end of the week. Lo and behold, that Friday afternoon I get a rejection from the no reply HR e-mail. I understand it's a huge company with many candidates to attend to, but it's not nice to have people in a 10 week process where the last 3.5 weeks consist of just waiting and guessing about a life changing relocation and everything that comes with that. Maybe if I was just communicated to and given accurate dates without having to feel like I'm desperately reaching out every time would've softened the blow or at least given some feedback from the many interviews conducted.
